My name is Elaina Plott Calabro, and I’m a staff writer at The Atlantic. I previously covered the 2020 election cycle for The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine. I’m currently at work on a book about Judge Frank M. Johnson and Governor George Wallace for Penguin Press.
